A-share oil and gas stocks open lower en masse as Brent crude plunges 9 percent overnight

On Wednesday, A-share oil and gas stocks opened lower collectively, with CNOOC and Guanghui Energy (SS:600256) down more than 6%, Taishan Petroleum (SZ:000554) down 3.7%, PetroChina (SS:601857) down 2.7%, Shanghai Petrochemical down 1.9%, Xinchao Energy down 7% and Heshun Petroleum down 1.9%.


Crude oil plunged overnight due to concerns about a global recession, with London's Brent crude futures plunging 9% and WTI crude futures falling 8.2%.
