France May Use Blockchain Ticketing for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris

Tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games could be based on blockchain technology if approved by French authorities.

The French Olympic Committee is willing to run the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the least amount of security risk to fans. As a result, the organization may incorporate blockchain technology into its ticketing system and supply viewers with non-transferable, individualized passes.

The Blockchain Comes to the Rescue

According to recent media, Michel Cadot – the French Government’s Olympic interministerial representative – delivered a report to the Prime Minister of France detailing some proposed revisions for the 2024 Olympic Games.

One suggestion focuses on the ticketing system that will be used to support the event. Permits based on blockchain technology, in his opinion, will provide fans with additional protection. Tickets, according to his idea, will be non-transferable and distributed by the organization a few days before the commencement of the Olympics.
